W.F. Howes, an RBmedia international publishing brand, is to publish Lifting: Becoming the World’s Strongest Brothers, the official autobiography of the Stoltman Brothers and the latest audio original title under the company’s WFH Original imprint.

Scottish siblings Tom “The Highland Oak” and Luke “The Albatross” Stoltman are widely acknowledged as the world’s strongest brothers, dominating the global Strongman circuit and winning everything there is to win in the sport.

But their road to success and stardom hasn’t always been easy, and the duo are no strangers to adversity. Between them, they’ve struggled through school with autism, faced isolation on North Sea oil rigs, and suffered the devastating loss of their number one fan, their mother, only to come out the other side stronger - than anybody in the world.

Lifting tells the thrilling and inspiring story of the Stoltman Brothers, from their early years in Invergordon to Tom’s World Strongest Man triumph in Sacramento last year, with all the blood, sweat, and tears in between. Performed by the brothers themselves, the audiobook features exclusive chapters from those who have played a major role in their trajectory, including coach Dan Hipkiss, psychologist Dr. Amy Izycky, and nutritionist Nathan Payton.

Luke Stoltman said: “This audiobook has been a real passion project for Tom and me, and it was an absolute revelation to write and then voice our life stories in such a candid and honest way. It charts many of the highs and lows of our lives and careers, showing how we have both managed to overcome so many obstacles to achieve what most people thought was impossible. We’re delighted with what we have produced alongside the team at W.F. Howes, and we can’t wait to see how listeners respond.”

Laura Smith, acquisitions manager at W.F. Howes added: “The Stoltman Brothers are a global phenomenon and everything they have achieved, in their sport and beyond, is a testament to their colossal strength, determination, and resilience. But they are about so much more than muscle. This audio original reveals the events that have shaped them, what drives them, how they have grown apart and then come closer together, and what it really takes to become the best in the world. With Luke and Tom alternating reading and exclusive content from the experts who work with the brothers on a daily basis, Lifting lifts the lid on one of the sport’s biggest and most inspirational success stories.”

Lifting: Becoming the World’s Strongest Brothers was acquired directly from the authors by Dominic White, publishing director at W.F. Howes. The audio original will be published on 27 July coinciding with Ebury’s publication of the hardback and eBook editions.
