An award-winning music technology start-up promises to transform the way the classical music and opera industry works, when it launches its new industry-wide networking platform this April.
Truelinked is the world’s first professional networking platform for the opera and classical music industry. It will be home to the largest digital community of artists and already now more than 400 arts organisations and 500 agencies across 80 countries use the platform on a daily basis.
Designed to support professionals across all roles in the opera ecosystem, the user-friendly subscription service promises a smarter way of working for artists, arts organisations, agents and agencies, while fostering better connections between them. Combining the largest database for the industry with sophisticated real time technology, users will be able to easily discover, engage, manage, extend and analyse their networks and enhance their careers.
The brainchild of former opera singer Sune Hjerrild, Truelinked was inspired to transform what he describes a ‘black box’ industry into a dynamic, transparent and creative space.
Sune said: “I think if we don’t do something about the way the market place operates, young artists will struggle even more to make a living, and I’m not sure the industry could even continue to appeal to young talent. Ensuring enhanced visibility and opportunities for both emerging and established artists will support artistic organisations and agents in their quest to give the audience a sublime experience.”
Sune says Truelinked will open up peripheral vision for both artistic organisations and agents, connecting them to a world of new talent and opportunities to work together, hopefully inspiring more future projects and collaborations.“Instead of small talent pools of one hundred people, arts organisations and agencies will now be able to find the needle in the haystack with access to validated data and a network of experts they trust at their fingertips. Agents can also work smarter in managing their roster with a better perspective on how their artists are performing in the market place.”
Kasper Holten, Former Director of Opera, Royal Opera House London, said:"I have always loved innovation and finding ways to move our wonderful art form forward. I find Truelinked a truly exciting initiative in trying to connect artists and projects in a new way, and I look forward to be part of exploring how we can continue to develop the business part of our opera world."
There are future plans to launch a separate service for audience and opera fans, combining the latest news in the opera world, exclusive interviews, listings, ticket booking information, special promotions and events.
In June 2018, Truelinked acquired the world’s largest classical music database, Operabase, which will be integrated and expanded in its new home. Truelinked was named top music tech start up by The Midem Conference in Cannes, and it was a winner of Red Herring’s Top 100 Global Start Ups in Los Angeles.
